Witchblade - Issue 01 - Page 09-10
Pencils: Michael Turner
Inks: D-Tron
Colours: Nathan Cabrera

Vectored by me.

Created in Illustrator CS2. Created for fun. It's been a fantastic learning experience. Both for learning the tools an understanding of lighting. I look forward to using some of these techniques in a drawing that is a little more original.

I suck at creating backgrounds so if anyone has some tips to make this a better wallpaper, leave a comment.

EDIT: I printed this on A3 paper with the colour-laser at work and was tickled by how good it looked (I love resolution-independent images). It just needed a more eye catching heading. So I changed the Witchblade writing from a Red/Grey outline to a tasty Lemon/Lime filling.

Dude, i love how you used the gradients this pic are very perfect i Luv it. I'm learning illustrator yet. do you have some tutorial or can you help me !? hehehe
Judging from your gallery, you are far more experianced with Illustrator than I am :) I've just copied what I see, but your illustrations have a unique style.

I don't have any tutorials, but when I need help I go to the forums at [link]

I guess the same style. Just asking.
Those artists techniques are far more advanced than my own. This illustration is pretty simple when you break it down. But the ones you linked to build up the drawing using a many semi-transparent shapes. I'm not talented enough to see those shapes and apply colours that well.
Aah! Another one of your amazing works!
I really am getting more attracted towards Vector art after few dabblings with InkScape...
